In India, the incidence of heart attacks and heart failure has increased by 25-30 per cent in people who got infected with Covid.
India is currently having a difficult time since the death rate from heart attacks is on the rise following the COVID-19 outbreak.
The nation has seen a significant increase in cases of sudden heart attacks, cardiac arrests, and other cardiological problems in people of all ages over the past couple of days.
Even people who appear to be in good condition are passing away from heart-related illnesses while walking down the street, dancing, or even just sitting at a computer.
Why has there been such a sharp increase in cases?
One of the potential causes, according to a renowned cardiologist who spoke with the IANS, might be post-COVID problems or long-COVID.
According to Dr. Samir Kubba, Director of Cardiology at Max Super Speciality Hospital in Vaishali, there is currently insufficient evidence to conclusively demonstrate that COVID is to blame for the deaths related to heart attacks. However, the problem has unquestionably grown since COVID. Dr. Kubba also stated that in some circumstances, long-COVID consequences may also be at fault.
